Parents at JKHA/RKYHS may choose from a variety of transportation options, including free public bus service; subsidized private bus service; private van or bus service; and carpools.
The communities of West Orange and Livingston provide free bus service to and from our Yeshiva, and make all decisions regarding daily bus routes and schedules.
Transportation subsidies are provided by many communities located 4 – 20 miles from our school through local Boards of Education; please contact your local Board of Ed for more information and an application.
JKHA/RKYHS is pleased to offer its own transportation subsidy program as well. Parents electing this option remit bus service fees directly to the provider; these costs are not included in tuition. Subsidized bus service is currently available to students living in the following communities:
Springfield
Millburn
Short Hills
Elizabeth
Hillside
Union
Edison
Highland Park
East Brunswick
Staten Island, NY
Rockland County, NY
Some parents also organize private carpools in selected communities; please consult the Student Directory for information about school parents living in your community.
JKHA maintains a hotline to inform LowerSchool parents about bus departures on a daily basis.
