Student Placement - Judaic Studies

Here at RKYHS we place our students into the tracked Judaic Studies classes according to their academic abilities. We feel that all students learn best when placed into homogeneous groupings. Each class is challenged to excel at its appropriate level and consequently each student can achieve tremendous academic success and fulfillment.

There are many different criteria that factor in deciding into which class a student should be placed.

Some of these criteria include:

Transcripts from elementary school
Student interview with the administration
Parent interview with the administration
Scores on the BJE exam

While we do everything we can to place students correctly, we are committed to revisiting any decisions we have made if conditions warrant such. Any student who shows particular proficiency in any subject matter may also be transferred in order to better serve the needs of such a student. Additionally, any student who struggles academically may also be transferred in order to best meet his/her needs and ensure a successful educational experience.
