College Guidance
The Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School has a full time college advisor, Ms. Michelle Lipson, who is meeting with the seniors and juniors in facilitating the college process. The college program does provide guidance and objectives for freshmen and sophomores through other members of the Guidance Department. Our mission at Kushner for college guidance is to advise students to meet developmental goals in the academic, personal, career and interests areas of the students’ lives throughout the four years of high school.
A website tracking system is available for seniors to follow up on their applications, letters of recommendations, confirmations of receiving documents and decisions when checking on their progress in this process (see Tracking Applications).
A fold-out pamphlet is available for all students and parents to check on the timeline of SAT’s and other requirements that are relevant at different steps in the college process (see section b, The College Process).
Kushner students have been accepted in many fine U. S. colleges and yeshivot in Israel for post high school study. Listings of these school are shown below. Kushner students have also won and/or have been selected for numerous prestigious scholarships and awards, such as, National Merit Semifinalists, Commended Students, and New Jersey’s Edward Blaustein Scholars, AP Distinguished Scholars, Kukin Fellows, the Rutgers University Book Awards, and various corporation winners, amongst several others.
