Panim el Panim Retreat

Kushner Yeshiva High School is offering your child an opportunity to participate on Panim el Panim. This program is a four day retreat-like seminar organized by PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values. Panim el Panim takes place in Washington D.C. each year in November.

Panim el Panim combines seminars on public policy with Jewish educational components that include active learning of Jewish texts and values. The location utilizes the unique resources available in Washington D.C. to make this a memorable experience for our students, and for the other participating schools. Students will be attending proceedings on Capitol Hill and meeting with Congressional Representatives. Students will also be given time to tour major museums and monuments. This particular time period is especially exciting being it is two weeks after election day.

These seminars allow young American Jews to see the relevance of their Jewish heritage to the critical social and political issues facing our nation and our world. Not only do the seminars result in heightened pride in Jewish identity and appreciation for the work of the Jewish community, but they also enable students to understand their particular responsibility to improve the world.
