Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School teachers embody and project the values fostered by our school. Faculty members teaching Jewish Studies are reflect in thinking and practice the Torah Umadda model. Discernible characteristics include commitment to the supremacy of Halacha and Torah values; support of the State of Israel as both a religious and political ideal and reality; openness to Western culture and the potential it brings in the development the Adam-Hashalem – the complete person.

Jewish Studies and General Studies faculty members have in common a commitment to academic excellence. They are equally committed to the individual student and to meeting his or her specific needs. Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School instructors facilitate learning, emphasizing independence of thought, textual analysis, and personal decision making. Our staff value and respect their students and revel in participating in their growth and development.

As professionals, our teachers are experts in their fields, and have mastered the craft of teaching. Committed to excellence, they continuously pursue professional development by way of seminars, workshops, and graduate level courses to improve as educators.

Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School instructors are committed to the school and its students. As “change agents,” our educators are expected to help shape and direct the attitudes of their students. Teachers must serve as adult role models, exemplifying positive models of behavior and lifestyles. Teachers also play an advisory role to students, providing guidance and lending moral support as necessary.

Academics make up but one component of Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School’s student life. Athletics, clubs and extra curricular activities are essential components of student education. Faculty members at our school also serve as group leaders and coordinators of such activities, becoming integrally involved in the whole education of Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School students.
